The challenge
After two decades of building PHP applications, the same needs return in every project: clean routing, a dependable ORM, background jobs, caching, real-time communication. The aim was a framework that covers them with a small, readable core and an API that stays out of the developer's way.
The approach
The framework is built around a dependency-injection container and a well-defined request lifecycle. Features are added as service providers, so an application only loads what it uses. Familiar conventions—controllers, middleware, migrations, a console—keep the learning curve short for anyone who has worked with a modern PHP framework.
What was built
- 01
Routing & middleware
Fast route matching, route groups and a configurable middleware pipeline.
- 02
ORM & query builder
Models with relationships and eager loading, a fluent query builder, migrations and seeding.
- 03
Queues, cache & Redis
Asynchronous jobs, query and application caching, with Redis built in.
- 04
Real-time
A built-in WebSocket server for live features without an extra service.
- 05
Developer tooling
A console for custom commands, validation, form requests, and testing utilities.
The outcome
Yabasi Framework is published under the MIT licence and installable through Composer. It distils the patterns used across years of client work into a foundation that anyone can read, use and extend.
